This is a fabulous combination of boulder opals! The boulder opal “sail" has rivers of blue purple and teal gemmy opal silica and the “hull" is a boulder opal with a purple body color that has an indigo blue flash. The piece is fabricated using a marriage of metals. The bezels are 22k gold soldered to sterling silver underbezels. The hanging loops and lobster claw clasp are sterling silver. It is strung on facetted neon blue, rich, deep apatite facetted beads. The size of the pendant is about 1 ¼ inches x 1 inch x 1/8 inch. It is strung to about 18" in length on a durable synthetic fiber that moves like silk but doesn't stretch, shred or fray like silk.
